Daughter of Ra – book review

26th June 2019
“The Daughter of Ra” is the second book in the “Blood of Ra” series by M. Sasinowski. What I truly hope is that it would not be the last one. In this book, the adventures of Alyssa continues to entertain and interest its readers.
After reading the “Heir of Ra”, the first book in the story and liking it a lot, I am happy to state that the second book did not disappoint. The story was again fast-paced and full of action. There was just enough mystery and drama, just enough fiction and realism, to make the book as outstanding as the first one.

“The Daughter of Ra” can be classified as YA fiction. That being said it may be of interest for a wider public. The story does not give a wide flashback of past events. Nevertheless, it provides enough information about what happened in “The Heir of Ra”. This is actually something I appreciate a lot in a sequence. Most authors tend to forget that their readers most probably still remember what exactly happened in the previous books. All those long summaries are actually boring at least for me.

“Daughter of Ra” is a book written by M. Sasinowski which continues to surprise its readers with its innovative ideas. As an Egyptian Mythology lover, I was in doubt that the series was going to surprise me with its ideas and yet I stand corrected. The story imaginative and I dare say that I have not yet seen these ideas anywhere.

The rating I am giving the novel is:
Idea: 4 out of 5
Story-line: 4 out of 5
Editing: 5 out of 5
Twist: 5 out of 5
Total = Willingness to read more by the same author: 4.5. That is only what the numbers say since I would love to read the next book in the series.
