The Stand by Stephen King is an amazing book.

I have to confess that before reading this book I was a little uncertain. The last books that I have read before this one was mediocre at best. I do not know if the problem lies only with the new books, but I believe that maybe the truth.

The Stand is not one of King’s new books but is one of the very good ones. Moreover, there is really just a little actual gruesome horror in the story itself. And that was good, given the sheer volume of King’s work in this case. The novel itself is enormous, but that did not make it hard to read. Actually, it is one of the few books that is at the same time so very long and so very interesting. It is definitely worth reading.

The Stand tells the story of good and evil, of love and hate, of faith and treachery. It leads us, the readers, trough the people change for better or for worst and it shows us the beauty of the world that surrounds us.

The rating I am giving the novel is:
Idea: 5 out of 5
Story-line: 5 out of 5
Editing: 5 out of 5
Twists: 5 out of 5
Total = Willingness to read more of the same author: 5. I know I have said that a several time already, but this undeniably is my favourite Stephen King’s book, and one of the few books I would reread someday.
